When I look at the AFC, for once, it doesn't feel like a 1-2 horse race.

No team stands out from everyone else, I can see a path for any of these 6 teams making it.

In the past 2 years, New England was head and shoulders above everyone else. Now, their margin for error is slimmer for once. Only two teams (MIA 1971-1973, BUF 1990-1993) have made it to 3 straight SB's. There's a reason teams rarely pull off this rare feat.

There aren't any Brock Osweillers or Blake Bortles in these AFC playoffs. All 6 QB's bring a lot to the table IMO.

When I look at New England, I feel that this might be their final truly great shot at a Super Bowl in the Brady/Belichick era.

Roster's getting older, Brady will be 42 next season, Belichick's no spring chicken, salary cap issues, may have to shed some veterans and some key players. rest of the AFC is catching up, potential wear and tear with this team, uncertain future.

If they don't get SB #6 this year, I don't know if they get back easily next year. Don’t see 10 straight years with a first round bye in ‘19.

But It could be football’s version of the ‘67 Leafs (old team finds a way) if things fall right.
