It sucks to make 'another' Leafs thread but seeing who is more valuable in terms of offensive production for selfish reasons.

I'm very high on Marner... I consider him as a clear cut 2nd best player on the Leafs.... Could be a 90+ point player down the road...

Homer vote marner but ehlers isn't that far off of him in terms of ability. Plus he'll have equal or better linemates to play with on the jets. I can see them differing by 3-5 pts a season which isntbthat important

There are two of my favorite players to watch and I think their careers will be quite similar pointwise

Marner's the kind of player which has a stupidly high ceiling

But also his success is very dependent on his teammates being able to keep pace.

I voted him even though it's really a difficult thing to gauge. I think him being higher may be slanted towards roster alignment in 18-19 season when Nylander is likely to be a C.

I was leaning towards Marner, but Ehlers had an awesome WHC and gets to play with Scheif + Laine. This poll is convincing me to go with Marner.

I only made the poll for 1 day, because I am sure these threads are getting tiresome.

gonna go with marner. 15 months younger and he pretty much just equaled Ehlers sophomore seasons as a rookie (61pts in 77 games vs 64pts in 82 games)

If Marner gets any time at all with Matthews/Nylander/Kadri and gets out of his Bozak handcuff, he is gonna go off.

this will be close though if ehlers stays with schiefele and wheeler/laine and marner plays on the 2nd line/pp with bozak and jvr

I'd go with Marner here. Ehlers has insane and superior raw skills to Marner. His stick handling, skating and acceleration are amazing. However, Marner's IQ is remarkable-he sees the ice at an elite level. That puts him over top of Ehlers.

Marner. Just a smarter and better hockey player IMO. He can also fly out there and his hands and passing are also elite already.
