Wow, 20K goals? The Habs definitely would be #1 on that list.

I think Gallagher will score that goal, he's always near the net whenever he's on the ice.

Armstrong or Moen.

It can't be someone awesome like the Gallies, Pacioretty, Subban ect.

Altho typing Subban's name I get the feeling he might very well get it, I hope so. Just to make the haters cringe.

I'm guessing they mean since 1917...the beginning of the NHL. Cammy scored the 20,000th goal in franchise history (since 1909)

So in 8 years back then we didn't score as many goals since Cammy scored the last 20k goal? :amazed:

we lost like 3 seasons

Spanish Flu in 1918-1919, half a year in 94, 04 and half a year in 2013

and there's more games

Nah that's not even it. Whether you start counting in 1909 or in 1917 those subsequent seasons have the same impact. The difference lies in the number of games played. There used to be only 16-18-20-24 (once) games played per season back then.

From HockeyDB:
Goals scored by les Canadiens from 1909 to 1917 (seasons 1909-1910 to 1916-1917)
610 goals

Goals scored by les Canadiens from 2009 to today
713 goals

As for who will score the goal, hopefully one of Pacioretty, Plekanec, Markov, Subban or the Gallies. But I'll say Ryder because he's due and it might get him going.

Yeah I wasn't really thinking when I posted (should have used math)

maybe Stubbs is wrong? He did say "no, never mind" at the end of his tweet. Maybe he realized that Cammy scored the 20,000th goal.

Also, on the Habs website it asks this question: Which player scored the 11,000th goal in the Canadiens’ NHL history, thanks to assists from Lars Eller and P.K. Subban during a home game on March 15, 2011? Answer: Andrei Kostitsyn

Now I'm really confused.

The ''nevermind'' was referring to when he said he should list all the goals

Also if i remember correctly that 11,000th goal was goals at home

ok

but it still doesn't change the "fact" that Cammy scored the 20,000th goal in Habs history
