I really like how the OP's Metro team features only one player from the top team in the division.

There seemed to be a few odd entries (pro-flames for some reason?):

Giordano as a replacement? 11 points and a -1 from a team that is 4th worst in GA in the conference is not good enough to be an all-star, or even an alternative. Nate Schmidt's 14 points and +5 on a team with a much worse roster is way more deserving.

Hate the guy but Dustin Brown (26 points, leads all fwds in +/-) is having an amazing comeback season and also deserves it, but who to take out? That one is tough.

Bit of a stretch but Markstrom over Smith. Roster strength was a big factor for me as the Flames have a much better roster and again are 4th worst in GA. Why would the starting goalie of the 4th worst GA be an all-star? Vegas and their rotation of minor league goalies have a better GA.

Because points and +/- is everything? Giordano takes some of the hardest comp in the league and is shelled with Dzone starts, all while posting elite relative numbers. Vegas has been very lucky thus far, eventually it seems they'll fall back to Earth.

Kuznetsov probably won’t make it but he should and he would be a ton of fun to watch 3 v 3. So many good players in the Metro won’t make it.

If the league wants they can leave Crosby out of the meaningless game . Pittsburgh should request they do that Crosby ,Kessel , Malkin would rather the rest its no honor being selected to play in that game.
