Kessel could have even won the Conn Smythe. Neither of those guys will come close to this. In his prime he was a 35+ goal scorer, PPG player. 2 cups, consistently an elite winger for most of his career.

Seguin was playing injured and needed surgery right after the playoffs ended

2 surgeries at that

Ridiculous how Seguin's "reputation" and "value" have taken a hit since last year.

I guess players shouldn't try to play through injuries and just stay comfortably home in their sofa.

He had 4 different injuries or something like that?

Seguin just turned 29 y/o, Kessel is going on 34

Still a bit of time ahead for things to change

This poll should be Kessel vs Seguin + Hamilton

2 Stanley cups, monster playoffs, 92 point season

barring dougie doesn’t win a cup and a Norris or two it’s kessel

seguin (while still good) is overrated imo

fair enough on the good Playoff runs but as far as the 92 point season goes he finished 8th in the league in points that year and was also 2nd on his own team(and only 3 points ahead of 3rd on his own team)

Seguin has finished 4th and 7th(and in consecutive years at that) and lead his team in the 4th place year while finishing behind Benn in points but above him in points per game in the 7th place one

Kessel did also have a 6th and couple 7th place finishes in Toronto though(where he actually did lead his team)
