yearly redraft, no dropping or adding players.
just 1 goal is 1 point, 1 assist is 1 point.
we are counting the total points the players get at end of season..

carlson had a hot start, and hes on pp1 always with ovi and backy,
i feel like carlson is a lock to hit minimum 60 points, and keller too
but who will get more at end of season?

There is no positional requirements? Generally if a D and F produce similarly in fantasy you want the dman, but if you can have as many forwards as you want I would go with Keller, more upside there.

this is regarding a draft where position doesnt matter anymore, however during the draft we had 12f and 6 d, but now we can have as many forwards or d as long as acquired in trade

With no positional requirement, I would take the forward.

Keller generates a lot of his own offense, and should be a very safe bet for around 60 points, and has upside on top of that.

There are only a few defensemen in the NHL that really create their own offense, and while Carlson is one of the best fantasy defenders, he doesn't create a lot by himself, he is very reliant on playing on a PP that just flows pucks through him on the point.

Realistically, Carlson is probably capped at 65-70 pts if everything goes well. But if either, he Ovechkin, or Kuznetsov gets hurt, his point totals are likely going to suffer.

Keller creates a lot by himself, if his team creates a dangerous PP, he takes a step forward in his development, or develops chemistry with someone like Galchekyuk, a point per game pace isn't out of the question.
