Not to be disagreeable BUT passing to who? Someone has to finish and I don't see that person on that team right now. Clue me in...

Let's see Daigle, Dupuis, Gaborik, Wallin, O'Sullivan (assuming he makes the team), Rolston...Oh and he'll play on the PP, he was awesome in the AHL when placed on the PP.

Daymon Langkow will put up career high numbers playing with Iginla.

Chuck Kobasew will score 20-25 goals when the NHL starts back up.

Spezza is the obvious choice.
As a Dallas fan i could see Trevor Daley breaking out. He isnt exactly going to be a rock defensively but i can see him scoring a ton of points, especially pinching in towards the net on the power play.

Cam Ward - Could get 20-30 Starts in Carolina
Zherdev - 70 Points
Andy Hilbert - The Bruins will give him the opportunity

Huge longshots:
Tim Connoly
Shane Willis (Why not give him a second chance?)

Well... the Irony on the Zubrus deal is he looked pretty good in the Championships (not the one just past, but the one right after the lockout...) and played well in the RSL.

Though, he'll never put it together in the NHL.

Always gonna be a solid player, but never will live up to the hype he earned.

With the recent news that Preds brass expect Suter to be in Nashville this year, I expect him to have a similar season to Hamhuis's rookie season...if not a little better, as everything I've seen suggests that Suter will be even better.

My vote goes to the guys who will get first line ice time including #1 PP duty. First two that come to mind are Ruutu and Zherdev. Spezza's gotta be there as well but I'm not sure what what kind of ice/PP time he'll get with a fairly stacked Ottawa squad.

Other potentials I like: Jbo, Michalek, Staal, Phaneuf

I think the Sens might be hoping for 15-20 goals from Antoine Vermette if they decide to keep him on left wing. The depth their is lacking so he could get some solid ice time.

And yeah, Spezza could very well put up 70 points or more since he should be the top center.

Not sure how 53 points is breaking out for Bonk considering he surpassed that number from 99-00 to 02-03.

I think this year Steve Ott will play a much bigger role in Dallas ... offensively his output should increase slightly, however, I think his "breakout" will be in his role as a superpest.

Spezza, T.Ruutu, Frolov, Semin, Svatos. Also, I would like to note Alyn McCauley. He had a very good second half and now when Ricci and Damphouse leaved San Jose he will step up, Imo.

For maybe the third year in a row, David Legwand...?

3rd year? Come on now. Legwand has been on the verge of a breakout for around 4/5 years now. Of course, he broke out in 2002-2003. Unfortunately, he broke back in the following year.

I think Simon Gagne will have a good season and put up at least 60 points.

Good call. However 60 points seems rather low considering Gagne has hit 59 and 66 points in his career before. If we have an NHL with new rules that help increase scoring, I could see his point totals above 85. If all stays generally the same with 2004 scoring, then I'd estimate a 70-75 point season for Gagne.

Not trying to be a jerk, but what leads you to believe that Alexeev will even be playing in the NHL in 2005-06? Along those same lines, what has Sejna shown since bombing in the NHL in 04?
