Who will finish top 5 by the end of the season? Including goals, assists, and points.

My guess:

Larkin 20G-35A-55P
Mantha 28G-24A-52P
Zadina 25G-21A-46P
Nielsen 16G-26A-42P
Nyquist 18G-22A-40P

Edit: Bad at math

In no particular order and under the assumption Nyquist is traded and Zetterberg is done.

Larkin
Mantha
Zadina
Vanek
Athanasiou

Larkin 65-75pts
Mantha 50-60pts
Nyquist 50-55pts
Nielsen 50-55pts
Vanek 50pts

Zadina 40pts, 20+G...*if he plays 82 games; I still feel they may try to slide 1 year of ELC
Bert 40+pts
Green 40pts
AA 35-40pts (more defensive responsiblities at 3C vs. wing)
Helm 30pts
Abby 30pts

:vhappy:Jack Hughes is hopefully our leading scorer.

But honestly on a team that is rebuilding and this early into it. I believe at least two or three of the players don't even play with us yet out of the top 5. I think Larkin and Mantha are hopefully in there. Sort of hope one of the defenders becomes a part of that picture. So hopefully Mantha and Zadina actually finish sixth somehow now that I have put that.... Yeah this is tough...

Larkin 21 goals, 70 points.
Mantha 30 goals, 55-60 points
Nyquist 15-20 goals, 40-45 points
Green 10 goals, 38-40 points(if healthy obviously)
Nielson 15 goals, 35 points.

I think any of raz or zadina has the potential to be on this list, I just didnt include them because let's be honest. We dont know if Kenny boy will have them on the team. But I do believe raz would have 16-20 goals if he plays 82 games.

Really hopeful for Bertuzzi and Rasmussen being very good players, and hoping they do it quickly

Larkin
Mantha
Vanek - Even if traded, likely has 35 by deadline
Nyquist - Even if traded, likely has 35 by deadline
Nielsen

What is with the lack of Vanek on so many lists? He probably hits 35-50 pts, which on this team, will definitely be good enough for top 5. Go look at our stats from a year ago, they were paltry outside Larkin and Zetterberg.

We’re going to be very bad, but I actually think our forward core can put up respectable/middle of the pack numbers

Larkin- 24 goals- 48 assists 72 points
Mantha- 28goals, 29 assists- 57 points
Vanek- 22G - 30A - 52 points (pace)
Nyquist 18 goals, 25 assists- 43 points (pace as he’s gone at deadline)
Athanasiou - 24 goals- 18 assists- 42 points
Niels - 12 goals, 24 assists- 46 points
Bertuzzi- 17 goals- 19 assists- 36 points
Zadina (82 game pace) 18 goals, 18 assists,- 36 points
Rasmussen- 22 goals, 11 assists- 33 points
Abdelkader 13 g, 17 assists - 30 points
Helm 8 goals, 12 assists - 20 points
Glendenning - 11 goals, 6 assists - 16 points

Dmen are a different story
Green - 8 goals, 31 assists, 39 points
Hronek- 6 goals, 18 ssists, 24 points (pace)
Dekeyser: 5 goals 17 assists 22 points
Jensen 3 goals - 16 Assists - 19 points
Daley 5 goals - 13 assists - 18 points
Kronwall 1 goal, 16 assists- 17 points
Ericsson: 3 goals, 10 assists 13

Totals to 244 goals pace.
After subtracting 10ish for post TDL lost production, 235ish seems a realistic uptick from last year. Only problem is I think we give up 280+ lol

Without Z, I doubt that Larkin sees a 20% uptick in points. Same with Mantha and Vanek. If most players stay where they were last year or uptick just very slightly I'd be happy, but they lost their offensive prime mover.

Having a tough time seeing anybody on this team cracking 60 points. No blue line + Z gone = You are gonna have a bad time. Maybe Larkin barely gets to 60.

Nielsen is your 2C and he will maybe get you 40 points.
Larkin is your 1C and he will put up 55-60 points.
Bottom six isn't even worth mentioning. Their only objective will be to not get scored on.

Losing Z is catastrophic for the offense. He was the last consistent threat the Wings had and they can't replace his 45 assists.

1. Larkin 55-60
2.Nyquist 40-45
3.Mantha 40-45
4. Nielsen 30-40
5. Green 30-32

The Wings are gonna be chasing the puck no matter what line they have on the ice.
