Quinn Hughes in 2018 because it just made so much sense with Jokiharju and Mitchell in the system and we needed a kid like QH badly but the situation just didn't play out in our favor...If only Dim Jim selected Bouchard instead...Boqvist came into that season ranked 3rd on some lists iirc but injuries derailed his year, not upset with the pick but Quinn clearly would help us win now where Boqvy needs more time

He was one pick away with a giant reach from the nerd. If Zadina doesn't fall Hughes would be a Red Wing.

Holland might've done that anyway, agree with you that they sort of had to take Zadina after John Chiarayka took Hayton

2019 - I wanted Dach all along. I was very happy.

2018 - I wanted Noah Dobson.

2017 - I remember wanting Josh Norris, but he ended up going way too early.

2018 - (wanted Boqvist or Dobson) Hawks drafted Boqvist (I'm happy)

2017 - (wanted Norris) Hawks picked Jokiharju (0 complaints there as I liked the pick)

Honestly can’t remember how I felt about the Joker pick or who else I liked in the 17 draft.

Back in 2012 I'd initially wanted the Hawks to pick Malcolm Subban. But I was then really happy about Teuvo b/c I thought he'd be taken earlier.

Funny how things work out.

As for what the thread is asking, I wanted Turcotte and Wahlstrom. Didn’t have a strong opinion in 17.

I was all in on Beach back when. Going way back I was really high on Bolland but we took Bickell and Garlock in the same range that I was screaming for Enver Lisin. Igor Makarov was another guy I was crazy high on. Thought he was gonna be a star.

Kylington was the one that bothered me the most. We could’ve had him, he was pretty much exactly the type of D we drafted, and we took Graham Knott instead who looked like a nothing prospect at the time and still does now. Would love to see if we could acquire Kylington from Calgary for like a 3rd.
