McPhee had an advantage over anyone he fought despite his size cause he could throw bombs with his left hand as well as his right and he'd win most of his fights due to this.

Most goons/enforcers typically are either lefty like a Tie Domi, Donald Brashear who couldn't throw a right hand if his life depended on it. Most enforcers of the past are righty like the Bob Proberts, Chris Nilan's of the world. They can still fight well but if you can throw punches both lefty and righty with equal force...huge advantage.

That's what McPhee could do and if you watch the fight again, he was tossing them with both hands at Tocchet's face. Friggen loved McPhee as a Ranger...such energy he supplied for the team.
