I realize it's probably just a 3-horse race at this point (actually maybe just 2), but I included a few other guys anyways.

Also did you know that Kari Lehtonen has the most games played of any Finnish goalie? I sure wouldn't have guessed that.

Kari Lehtonen was a filthy goalie when he got drafted and was an AHL stud. He didn't really progress much after.

Now it's Kiprusoff.

Kiprusoff was actually pretty inconsistent, and seemed to be either really good or pretty bad in any given season. These are his save percentages from every season he played since he first broke out with the Flames:

2003-2004: .933
2005-2006: .923
2006-2007: .917
2007-2008: .906
2008-2009: .903
2009-2010: .920
2010-2011: .906
2011-2012: .921
2012-2013: .882

He had 5 good seasons, and 4 bad ones. He's the right answer to this poll for now, but I could see Rask overtaking him by the end of his career due to Kiprusoff's consistency issues.

I might even take Niklas Bäckström over couple of the options on the poll (Lehtonen, Niemi). Or at least I'd play with the thought. Bäckström was great for a while even though his later years in the NHL didn't go that well.

Kiprusoff is one of my favourite goalies of all time, but Rask and Rinne are just objectively better than him. Going with Rinne for now but Rask could easily take this with a few more solid seasons.
