Voted Cederholm.

Just a hunch that he has the size, strength, skating, attitude, and awareness to become a regular top-six NHL D, known for his physical play.

I haven't seen too many of these guys play but from what I've seen, Cederholm's play has been very impressive so I'd say he's the best of the bunch. Polasek is pretty good too, but I think Cederholm has the talent to make it in the NHL.

Yeah, this is all so inexact and unknowable . . . but to have decent guys like Polasek, Grenier, and Kenins getting into the mid-twenties of our prospect rankings is pretty amazing. Even with the usual disclaimer that most won't pan out, I can't ever remember depth like this in the Canucks' prospect pool.

That's 8 syllables!!! :rant::rant::rant:

Oh, yeah, went with Polasek again.

:(

I pronounce "poem" as an off-glide or a diphthong: as "poim." Is "Oy" one or two syllables? You could argue either way.

However, your point is really good in that most pronounce "poem" as two syllables, at least in North America. But for me and some others, "point" and "poem" have nearly the same vowel sound, which, like the poetic contraction "o'er" for "over," is generally considered to make a one syllable word. I guess "bowl" and "bowel" are a little different though :)

Yeah, I've always pronounced poem with 2 syllables, though I can see how some might pronounce it as 1.

I like Cedarholm's attributes and think playing in a program like Portland's could go very well for him. I'll be paying close attention.
