This. Though I think Reinke and Husso are right there with him. Much like Walman, Perunovich won't play here. He will have a great career in Europe. "Good" defensively (power play specialist and not the go to guy on defense), a little slow, and too small from watching college hockey. Can't outskate or outmuscle guys at the next level.I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, anyone calling Kostin a bust for not being an AHL all-star at 19 is not very bright. Kyrou couldn’t even get into games with the Wolves when Sarnia’s seasons would end, and he’s been voted our best prospect.
This is a huge season for Kostin, and I think he’s going to prove A LOT of people wrong.
It has a lot more to do with age than draft position. If Kostin was 23 right now and putting up underwhelming numbers I would also assume his ceiling is a depth player.Look, I'm not saying Mikkola is next Chris Pronger, but I find it interesting how many folks here judge some of our prospects by their theoretical ceiling while seem to assume others (typically those who were drafted lower) have already maxed out their potential.
I'll send HF my bill. I'm not cheapNice job Converse. You are truly doing the Lord's work. That sorting you just did must've taken you an good 20-30 seconds.
Well the order feels subjective because it completely is. I’m just putting names down the list in the order from which I remember them. After the first poll, I just copy pasted the list back into the next poll, and then all other polls from then on. I wasn’t trying to make the names at the top appear more appealing to everyone, but more that I knew those guys were Blues prospects, I knew how to spell their names correctly, and I knew they fit the criteria for what a prospect is. The more you go towards the bottom, the more you find I didn’t know one of the three.Just a suggestion but could prospect order be alphabetical (first or last name) just to eliminate preconceived notions. The order always feels very subjective
