Calgary obviously doesnt suffer from the fact that they can't compete financially with teams big spending teams while spending much less. Because the system provides opportunities for them to succeed on a different playing field. They dont have to spend as much as Detroit to be better than them. Yes I know the famous 7 years. I think its better to give equal opportunity to become great, while allowing far from great, than to make everybody equal.
