Trade Deadline 6 days away. We don't have much other teams want but who do you think (not should) get traded in the next 6 days. I left out the obvious "not getting traded" players. Pick as many as you want and write in what we get back in the comments section.

I don't see a lot of Oilers leaving the fold here mainly because the kind of trades we need, happen in the summer during the draft and free agency and not at the deadline, Oilers management will want to give the new GM freedom to set his own course, we already have an AHL lineup and trading the couple of NHL wingers we have remaining would cement that we are an AHL team the rest of the year, and Oiler management are delusional in thinking we have the capability to go on some magical St Louis type run and make the playoffs so they won't trade anyone.

I will go with just Alex Chaisson to Washington for a 5th.

I mean I guess, but I'm not assuming what you're assuming when you make this statement

What am I assuming? The players you listed can barely stay afloat on the Oilers roster. Where would the interest be?

I should have clarified I think they hold onto Chaisson and actually resign him to a reasonable deal this summer.

Chaisson for a pick and by some miracle a couple of D.

Not only are we in a position of weakness, we don’t have any sexy prospects we are willing to let go of so we aren’t attaching any salary and the 9 4th liners we ice every game are unwanted.

I don’t want it to happen, but something tells me one of Nurse/Larsson is going to be gone. Just a gut feeling. Hope the return is worth it.

Chiasson will be moved. Kassian has value right now, and as much as I don't want him to be moved I imagine he will be too.

I cannot even fathom how bad this lineup is going to look like post deadline.

Kassian is my best bet. Teams always look to beef up for the playoffs, and considering how he played in 2016-17 in the postseason, some GM in the East might look at him and think he could be this year's DSP and also help counter the physicality of the Ovi-Wilson duo in Washington. He's also got pretty good speed. We might get a better return than he's worth.

If possible, let's keep McDavid, Draisaitl, Koskinen, Klefbom, Sekera, Nurse (rough edges but will be great), and maybe Kassian (entertainment value).

Every other player, and everyone administering the team, including the old-man coach, needs to go to have a fresh start. And yes, I'm willing to get rid of RNH. I think he is maybe the only player that has some trade value.

Really ? I would be surprised if 1 of those players are traded. Gravel is probably the only one with any interest around the league.

Teams are gearing uo for the playoffs. Im pretty sure there's gonna be a couple of calls for Kassian. Its kinda funny how a couple of years aho teams had goons in the line up for the regular season and they sat them during the playoffs... now it's the opposite.

Trading Nuge would be a huge mistake imo.

imo those might be trade targets, but not likely now. More of a draft or summer thing.

Trading Gretzky was a huge mistake. Losing Messier, Graves, Smith, Kurri, and Muckler at the same time was a huge mistake. Letting Pronger go because of his wife was a huge mistake. We can survive the lose of RNH, if it means getting a top-6 winger who shoots a lot OR a D-man who can put pucks on the net on the power-play.

Such as?

Just going by the descriptions of those players, it doesn’t seem worth giving up Nugent-Hopkins for.

You may be right. I'm just desperate to see a power-play that actually has a player at the point who can make plays and put pucks on net.

It's been 13 years.

The Oilers PP is 11th in the league. It's frustrating at times watching a guy like Nurse fumble the puck or the players over pass it around the perimeter. But the PP is literally the only aspect of the Oilers game that is even remotely passable.

Except when it matters, like the 5 on 3 yesterday...

Well, their most desperate and urgent need (of many) is wingers who can put pucks on net and score some goals.
