Who gets the most credit: Yzerman or BriseBois?

Scouts should get most of the merit for that, not Yzerman.

So GMs don't get credit for drafting?

Why don't pro scouts get the credit for trades?

The Lightning don't win "The Stanley Cup" without both doing what they did, period. Suppose it's like when you build an awesome home; you gotta have a great foundation, or the house is doomed from the get-go no matter what you do afterwards. After your foundation, you gotta have good framing, materials, finishes, etc. so that awesome foundation is put to good use. Yzerman built one heck of a foundation, and hired good workers to boot, then BriseBois did a great adding to that foundation. In the end, the Lightning had one heck of a house!!!!!! But........like any house, whether good or bad, there's things you wish you did differently while building it. You'll have to tweak this or that to improve that house. Both GM's deserve credit, and both made great moves, but they've both made bad choices also. Fortunately for Lightning nation, a "Stanley Cup" was the prize from their efforts and that's all that matters...........

Lightning nation has been living in a great house since 2015 and we're fortunate that we've had many skilled craftsmen working to build it
