Why are ppl suggesting trade Spooner to free a spot, do you want this team to crash and crumble... like come on. Sure I know his history but the games he played so far he has been solid even though its hard to get traction when in and out of the lineup due to injuries.

And No, do not waive anyone who might get picked up by another team, you don't know know what kind of injuries we will have down the stretch and playoffs, we could really use a guy like Schaller, Kuraly or Accuari... keep our depth, dont just dump them cuz we have a healthy team now and arn't needed.

Do not send down Bjork, such a dumb idea, he is relable enough to play in the NHL, move him down a line or sit him if it gets bad, but this guy needs the experience at the NHL level, stick it out for god sakes, and come playoff time or next season, it will pay off and he will be even better, he is only going to get better.

Beleskey is probably my choice, however I wont like to do that to a guy who is trying , trust me he is giving it his all, and sending him down isnt going to be a kick in the butt he needs cuz hes already trying his best, if anything it will be a kick in the gut and will drop his motivation a little. Give the guy some slack, hes trying and wants us to win, hes just not that great and can not get anything going offensively. Wish it was that easy to just flip him to another team but that wont happen with his Cap hit unless keep part of his cap, which I would consider. We do and will need a trade before trade deadline and if we can incorporate him in to make the cap and roster space to bring in someone that helps the team, then it will work great for us. I believe Sweeney will do this, he has scouts at most other games so you know hes working hard to find a trade that makes us better, hopefully for a top 6 guy.

It'll most likely be a non waiver guy and maybe Beleskey. Hopefully we stay healthy... team is looking good, just missing a top 6 forward to really push this team to a cup contender or atleast a better playoff run then last year.

I think most realize Beleskey is a good guy, and is trying, doing his best, but it is apparent his best isn't nhl caliber anymore. There is really no reason not to send him down. They have given him a year and 1/4 of a season to get his game back. I can't imagine any players (current or potential) would hold fault over mngmt, if they send him to Prov. They have given him every chance, and then some to earn playing time.

Has there been an update on Chelarik and how long he is expected to be out?

I'll take a shot- Beleskey's remaining salary to be paid for the season?

This, or the remaining cap hit.
So what he's earned so far is more than the saving's they would have had on the cap had they just sent him down in the first two weeks of the season.
There are 121 cap days left in the season. The savings in sending him down now is $666,710.
If the can't trade him, they may just be better off keeping him as the 13 forward. If someone gets injured, call someone else up

This. I see no reason to send Beleksey down and have a young player be the 13th forward. If someone needs a maintenance day put Beleksey on the 4th line for a game, its not gonna kill the team.

I also don't really want Beleksey taking minutes from a player in Providence, let him rot on the bench here.

If they are JAGS, why do they get to keep their spots when better players return? Why not look to upgrade on JAGS? Improve a 4th line that is clearly missing something? Why would you worry about losing Tim Schaller on waivers if he's just another replaceable player?

I've never been a big Acciari guy. He's a black hole, especially when he's not hitting everything in sight. Kuraly is the one component of the 4th line I think I would keep. He's fast, good on the forecheck, and gets to the net. One of those guys who I think would produce more playing with better players.

We should look to improve on the JAG 4th liners and no, I'm not worried if we lose Schaller to waivers. What I'm saying is that for what they've been asked to do, they haven't been awful and I don't get the hate some have for them. I think both Kuraly and Schaller are above average 4th liners who have been asked to play increased roles due to injuries. For that, they should be commended but they still are what they are.

I've actually soured on Acciari this year and IMO that's the spot that we should look to improve on.

If and when McQuaid is back, I'd like to see them try Kevan Miller as the 4th line right wing. His skating has massively improved and while his hands aren't anything to write home about, he's an upgrade over Acciari and we're not losing anything in regards to physicality.

Cehlarik won't be back for awhile but when he does, I suspect he'll bump off one of the 4th line JAGs when he's healthy and up to game speed.

With Schaller, he's playing more than 14 minutes a game. He's in top-9 territory. He scores like a 4th liner when he's in the top-6/9 and barely scores at all when he's actually on the 4th line.... He's gone 13 games without registering a point. Over that span he's never once, in a single game, been a + player..... and is a -6 overall in that span.... It's not hate. To me it's a realistic view of what he is.

I just want to see the 12 best skaters dressed. From and asset POV, Spooner and Vatrano are the two I might tip toe around.

A good chunk of that ice time is from the PK, where he leads all forwards on the Bruins. He's an excellent penalty killer and stepped up in that role while Marchand was on the mend. Our PK is currently 4th in the league and like him or not, he's a big part of that.

At 5v5, you see his minutes are comparable to the other 4th liners on the team who had to step up and play a pseudo 3rd line/4th line role because of the injuries to other veteran guys.

With some of the guys coming back from injuries, he's averaged less time: 10:59 is his TOI over the past 4 games.

Dan Paille, who we would all agree was part of one of the best 4th lines in the league during his time here never scored more than 10 goals or 19 points and in 3 out of the 6 seasons he was here, he was a minus player. Shawn Thornton: 4 out of the 7 seasons on our 4th line was a minus player and never scored more than 20 points. So let's not act like points and plus minus should be the gauge of how a 4th liner performs.

If we can find a better guy on the cheap that can replace the likes of Schaller, Kuraly, and Acciari, sure... I'm all for it. But as it stands right now, I don't think they're killing us like some seem to think and I do think both Kuraly and Schaller have performed their roles a little better than the average 4th line guy.
