DLR isn’t getting waived unless he has an atrocious (I mean Atrocious with a capital A) training camp.
Even then, I doubt it.

Update to this... only real changes would be Watson suspension potential. Hamhuis coming in makes it less likely they will carry 8D, so Bitetto as #8 is at risk. At F having Watson suspended probably gives Salomaki/Gaudreau better chances. Possibly also Rinaldo, if Lavy likes him that much.
Preds have 12F/7D/2G who are "locks" for the roster. Well, I include Tolvanen in the 12F, but I suppose there is some miniscule chance he slacks off all summer and somehow doesn't make it, though at this point we are all expecting he is "in".
That leaves a battle for 2 roster spots. Leading contenders would be:
Miika Salomaki
Frederick Gaudreau
Zac Rinaldo
Connor Brickley
Anthony Bitetto
2 of them make it, the rest are on waivers.
Also on waivers:
Rocco Grimaldi
Jared Tinordi
Troy Grosenick
Tyler Gaudet
He is waiver-exempt.Only thing I can see for the Caps is if Shumakov completely tanks and sucks it up horribly. I don't see that happening cause I think he'll be given a chance to play with other high skill players but there's always the chance with a KHLer who doesn't want to go to the AHL...Although his agent claims he's willing to do so if need be.
I mean in the sense that he'll get sent to Hershey, say the hell with it and head back home to the KHL.He is waiver-exempt.
