He has no choice. The Cap demands we start cutting. He might be the first but not the last.I think we’re all hoping Dubas takes away another one of Babcock’s toys this summer (Brown)
This. Love it.Hyman-Tavares-Marner
Kadri-Matthews-Kappy
Moore-Nylander-Johnsson
Ennis-Marleau-Brown
I'd like to see
Johnsson - Matthews - Kapanen
Hyman - Tavares - Marner
Marleau - Kadri - Brown
Ennis - Nylander - Moore
yeah to be clear, I agree with you. Overall, he probably provides the least.I understand he does all the little things but my issue is a result of depth. With the way the 4th line is producing, I think he has to be the guy to sit out when Kadri returns. I love his character but his line has been cold offensively all season. Doesn’t matter how good of a role you can play if you create nothing.
I keep reading over and over again, you can't pay 6.9 to 3rd. line center, so you definitely can't pay it to a 4th. line center.
1 change ... centers based on paycheque ...
Johnsson - Matthews - Kapanen
Hyman - Tavares - Marner
Ennis - Nylander - Moore
Marleau - Kadri - Brown
3 scoring lines, one shutdown line.
Who should come out: Marleau
Who will come out: Moore
Turn that frown upside-downMoore should stay in and so should Ennis.
I would say Gauthier, but who plays the 4C?
Scratching Marleau won't happen because the team respects him.
Brown is a more realistic "big name" to be scratched

While I agree, isn’t Marleau on some Ironman streak for games played? I doubt they sit him for rest when he hasn’t missed a game since 2009 or something like thatfirst off dont rush kadri back, coming off concussion protocol let him practice and feel 100% then get him in for a few days before the playoffs. Let Marleau sit for a few too have everyone playing in peak form.
Need Brown for the PK. After Lindholm's departure Babs lost one of his penalty killers he won't want to lose another one.
Kadri to LW, simple
Depends on the return of course, but his contract is pretty damn good and it offsets our bigger contracts nicely. It's not crazy to trade Kadri this offseason.
