I thought this would be an interesting idea to gauge who Devils fans want in the first round. For the sake of argument, let's leave out trade possibilities (though Shero has talked of a trade-down) and impossibilities (we'd all love Dahlin and Hughes and Wahlstrom, but it just ain't happening).

My list is:
1)LD K'Andre Miller
2)LD Ty Smith
3)RW Vitali Kravtsov

Want nothing to do with K'Andre Miller. Has not played the position very long

1. Rasmus Kupari
2. Ty Smith
3. Vitaly Kravtsov

1. Boqvist - He is a predicted to slide. The question is how far. Hopefully he can be this years Liljegren.

2. Trade the pick - This years draft is very even after pick 10. I think i would rather trade the pick for an established player or trade the pick to move down and get an extra pick in the 2nd round.

3. Wilde - One year ago he was a projected top 5 pick. I think he still has the talent of a top 5 pick, it is just inconsistencies in his game has caused his stock to slide around pick 15-20. Perfect for Devils to draft him. I'll back our development team to iron out those inconsistencies.

Probably a few others that are basically #3 as well, and then a few guys who I'm considering not there at 17 but if they were they'd be on the list (Kravstov and Smith). A tough choice for sure but also a ton of good options.

Assuming Kravtsov has no chance of making it to #17 or he is #1

I find it difficult to rank F and D together.
F: Kravtsov, Kupari, Dellandrea.
D: Miller, Sandin, Lundkvist.

Stayaways: Noel, Wilde, McLeod.

Worried about the Russian factor with Kravtsov.

I'm not going to pretend I know what to look for in prospects and projecting them.

I'd prefer Miller or Wilde just from a need-based perspective, but if Castron goes Kravtsov, Bokk, Denisenko, or Kupari, I would trust they think that forward is above and beyond the defenders.

I do have to say Wilde potentially being able to turn pro right away makes him an interesting pick.
