I wouldn't be surprised for the WHL to have to postpone until spring. A lot of it depends on whether the ban on adult sports and team travel is lifted in BC. The current order just goes to Jan 8 but the covid cases in BC have remained stubbornly high and are still growing quite a bit in the smaller cities the WHL plays in.

The Canucks are also caught up in this and I would be surprised if they don't have to go out of province for training camp.

I'm sure the BC government is being lobbied heavily but the provincial health officer held the line when it came to the NHL bubbles and I expect her to do the same here.

Canada is nominally requiring 14 day quarantine for folks (read: Snowbirds) flying in/home. (3 days in special hotel + 11 at "home")

Not sure if OHL and WHL have negotiated something else, if the kids will be flying in on charter flights or what.
