Fangraphs' Steamer projects Avila to have a 1.6 WAR season 2016. That would be a sharp contrast to his last season with the Tigers (where he already had a platoon partner who prevented him from failing against too many LHP). We'll see what develops!

Avila should be used to the booing by now.

Since his career year in 2011, Avila is good for at least two concussions a year. His power is the only thing that prevents him from being a complete black hole offensively.
