The news about Hoffman being asked to submit a 10 team no trade list got me thinking about who would be on my list. Sadly as much as it would seem awesome to play for the Oilers, I don't think as of right now it would be somewhere I would want to be traded to.

I could only put 30 poll options so I left Vegas off since they are the newest team and I assume wouldn't be on anyone's no-go list . (You can also post below if they would be)

We all know that Edmonton is likely at the top of most no trade lists despite having Connor.
The city and the weather aside I have to believe that if this team wasnt such a joke (and was an actual contender) then those lists would look a lot different.

Arizona, Buffalo, Calgary, Columbus, Edmonton, Florida, Montreal, NYI, Ottawa, Toronto.

Basically, avoiding the shitty franchises (Arizona, Buffalo, Columbus, Edmonton, Florida, Ottawa, NYI) the fish-bowls (Montreal, Toronto) and the Flames (because f*** them).

No probably Ottawa judging by the poll above, and really it is the absolute last place I’d want to be traded to if you dream about beaches and golf in January. If you dream about winning, then less attractive cities like Winnipeg and Columbus would be on your list.

Edmonton
Are you asking from the POV of a fan, or as a player that wants to be on a winner? Vancouver has the same number of votes as Ottawa, so people seem to be selecting with team hate rather than which would be the worst organizations to end up at. I assumed I was already an Oiler, so didn't pick Edmonton. There are not many teams with the same sort of major issues (thanks Chia), and with a NT you are probably at least 27 and the older you are, the less you can wait to compete, so the Oil would be on many lists today I think. If you are under 27 the club would be much more promising because it does have young stars but still a lot of opportunity because of that lack of depth. If I am the next Panarin looking to get my shot Edmonton might look pretty good except for the absence of other Russians.

Vancouver should not have more votes than Edmonton...

I had both on my list, but Vancouver was one of my last ones. Nice city, team on the upward swing right now.

Also crazy to see Boston as the only team with 0 votes so far

I definitely think a mix of both would have to be considered (winning & weather). Anaheim is a good example, they have been struggling but it would be an awesome place to spend your days off.

Winnipeg would not be on my list simply due to them being so good right now. Would be a good chance to complete for a Stanley cup.

When you have neither weather nor winning (re: Oilers), you have to think we’d be on almost everyone’s no trade list.

Edmonton would be the only team on my no-trade list. The weather doesn't bother me, but the team is terrible and the atmosphere is toxic.

Depends if don’t want to be traded. Then you put contenders on it.

Otherwise I put Calgary down 10 times.

That reminds me of the one episode of "The Office" where Michael Scott was asked if he was locked in a room with Hitler, Bin Laden and Toby (the HR guy in the office), then was given a gun with only two bullets, who would he execute.

Michael Scott: "Easy, I'd shoot Toby twice."

.

Definitely Edmonton. What’s the appeal in coming here?

So you can get crucified by fans, micromanaged by a bunch of 50 year old men, and have your career jeopardized?

I'm obviously a masochist. I'd have Edmonton at the top of my "go to" list.

I'd never want to play in my hometown.

List was all the Canadian teams except WPG. Then Buf, Car, Col and Nyi

Rather play for demanding fanbases in hockey communities than be an afterthought in the sun belt.

I somewhat agree, but I think I rather play in a place like NYR or WSH where there are other things going on and you can blend in when you are having a down period.

I'd hate to play in Edmonton and have my name dragged through the mud when I'm playing bad only to have my family have to hear about it as well.

Easy for me personally. Only Canadian team I'd be willing to go to is Vancouver (city/less media) or Winnipeg (good team).

I think Edmonton would be great if you're 18. You're a celebrity, loaded, and anything you want is yours.

Then as you get older playing in a big city where you and your teammates can go out for dinner without anyone knowing who you are would be a nice change.

I'd rather my wife and kids love where they live than play in a city where people heckle you when you're out for dinner with your family.

My 10 team No trade list would be:
1. Toronto - Wouldn't want to be constantly badgered by media 24/7
2. Montreal- See above. Also add in the bilingual aspect
3. Edmonton- Organization is a complete joke. Run by imbeciles.
4. Ottawa- See above
5. Buffalo- Trashy city and organization
6. Detroit- Trashy city
7. Chicago- See above . Also murder capital USA
8. Minnesota- Cold af and trashy
9. Philadelphia- Fans are ruthless. Would also be hell as a goalie
10. Winnipeg- Siberia but without the mall . Pass

I kept Calgary off the list because:
1. Well run organization
2. Close to the mountains while also being close to family
