yup, lottery is only for the #1 pick. so we either win it, someone lower than us wins it (we keep 9th) or someone higher than us wins it (we shift up 1 spot to 10th).

It wouldn't surprise me if Los Angeles won. Just because of the Sharks luck . My gut says Arizona but honestly aside from the Kings I want a west coast team to get the top pick. Just to get more focus on hockey out west . I don't see the Sharks having the luck but man it would be nice . One pick would change the whole outlook here

Also, notice that the past two coaches in Sharks history ended up coaching with recent Sharks starters (Sutter, Kipper in Calgary- Wilson, Toskala in Toronto)
