Opt 2. Would suck for the regular season hearing how overrated we are. But we would go in without as much pressure. Avoid bolts and Bruins.

How about first place in the division and playing the wild card with home ice? TB is not guaranteed anything.

On one level, I'd definitely prefer not to have another first round series vs Boston. However, going into that with home ice *advantage would be something different from the past. Don't know if the confidence going into the playoffs would be anything great if the regular season finish was a step back from last season. Go into any series intimidated and something already seems lost. Aim for the best regular season finish possible.

Whatever the path I want them to face the Bruins and beat the crap out of them before advancing. I dont want any asterisks on the record, and if they cant beat them yet again it means the team needs a rework of sorts.

Agreed, it won’t feel like an asterisk imo but the victory would be so much sweeter.
