Not necessarily super deep but making it at least past the first round at a minimum.
I see we have some folks thinking desert dogs. They did go on a hot steak at one point in the season I believe.
I'd put my money on Philly or Dallas rebounding if anything.
Curious why these 11 teams and not the other 4 non-playoff teams (New Jersey, Vancouver, Calgary, Chicago) were in the poll
Biased Ranger fan voting Rangers
Biased Devils fan voting....
Wait a minute!
Buffalo is on there but the Devils aren't. man... you know right where to hit a guy don't you?
A healthy Dallas I can see getting back into the cup finals. Especially with a full season of Robertson and a healthy Hintz/Seguin
I could see us (NYR) definitely making the playoffs but I doubt we win a round
Those teams may be coming up in a new, special poll!
Rangers and Philly are my top 2, picking Rangers
Surprised by the Rangers votes, I really don't think they're anything special, and even if they do make the playoffs, they're not exactly built for playoff hockey in the slightest.
There’s no such thing as built for playoff hockey.
I think every team here is ass.
The Rangers are probably the best team, which is a very f***ing bad sign as a general rule.
the 2021 new york rangers are one of the best non playoff teams ive ever seen
Oh is that what we're gonna do on Friday? We're gonna fight?
Pittsburgh and Washington never miss the playoffs.
Islanders just went to final 4 2 years running. Cant discount them
Carolina is super solid
The top 4 in division is super crowded. I personally think Philly sucks - but they do this weird think where they miss playoffs and are bottom feeders one year and then rebound and qualify the next - which means they could rebound too.
Rangers have a lot of talent but thats a tough division to qualify in. I say they miss again
Dallas was in finals a year ago. Central is a lot more open imo. Its an easy choice
If Rangers with all their insane players personnel fail to make play offs again, might as well blow it up
philly is my guy feeling but Dallas and the NYR are equally good choices here.
While I usually agree with you I disagree here as team size grit and structure matter way more in the playoffs than regular season.
Also timing and a hot goalie certainly doesn't hurt.
I think the Stars bounce back big time.
The Rangers, Stars and Philly are probably the only 3 with much of a chance. I think the Rangers are the most likely to have a great regular season and Dallas is probably the most likely to do something in the playoffs.
At some point Washington and Pittsburgh will fall off. Neither team was that good this season.
At some point. People have been saying this is the year it happens....for the past 5 years running. It hasn't yet - and it probably won't be next year either.
As for neither team being that good this year. Pitt was 5th in league, and that's without Malkin, Caps were 7th in league (with Ovi missing a chunk himself). Carolina did finish above both - but just barely and they were in arguably an easier division. ie - Washington/Pitt did better than anyone else in the central this season, or just about.
Separate names with a comma.
