RG3 at least had the electric first season. Manziel had absolutely nothing.
Well, a drug addiction, and managed to get Kyle Shanahan to force his way out of Cleveland for a lateral OC job with the Falcons since he knew how big a disaster having to start Manziel was gonna be (and likely impact his future job prospects).

Pretty terrible and obvious list to have Manziel easily win

Better list would have had Manziel facing

Tim Tebow
Ty Detmer
Matt Leinart
Troy Smith
Chris Weinke
Danny Wuerffel
Andre Ware

Why is Cam Newton on this list? Pre-injuries he was a good to great player, he won an MVP and a team QB'ed by him came just 1 game short of a Lombardi.

All of these players except for Manziel had some flashes at the NFL level so it's pretty obviously him.

Manziel easily. Could not last in either the NFL or CFL, was part of a bad team in a league that folded during it's inaugural season and now plays in some league i know nothing about called Fan Controlled Football.

Worst NFL career? Why not go with the one that never had one? Charlie Ward :sarcasm:
Definitely one of the more interesting paths of a Heisman winner, as he essentially turned down an NFL career to play in the NBA, where he played for just over a decade. Wouldn't surprise me if he was the only Heisman winner to go undrafted in the NFL, though the story I heard is he would only play in the NFL if he were a R1 pick, while he was projected in rounds 3-4. With those demands, and fear that he'd play in the NBA if picked after R1, no one selected him, and a couple months later he was a late 1st round pick in the NBA draft by the Knicks.

grossman was robbed of the heisman that year. but that was back when underclassmen were pretty much not allowed to win it
Agree, people may forget how big a deal it was when Tebow won the Heisman 15 years ago. Leading up to the vote, people were debating whether a sophomore should be allowed to win it. Since then, 7 more underclassmen have won it, which is almost half in that span.

Tebow was decent with the Broncos, but that was McDaniels fault for giving up so much to make him a 1st Rounder.

Leinart was a real flop given all the tools he had with the Cards and Warner to learn from.

Ware is the funnier of the bunch given that he won the Heisman when the Cougs were on probation and beating up teams like an SMU side coming off the death penalty.

Manziel peaked in college. It’s too bad they were expecting him to be the next big thing. I never really saw it myself, but the hype was huge.

At least the others spent significant time in the league for the most part. Cam even win an mvp.
