And why? I think Bolland has "bust" written all over him, because I think his stats were boosted by skilled linemates like Schremp, plus he is lacking size. I think he is a lot like Jaime Lundmark, but less skilled.

Can't really call all guy's that don't make the NHL busts from the top 100. 2rd rounders are unlucky to make a solid NHL career and if they do, it's considered good drafting or a guy that really earned his spot, rather than them not making it and being called a bust.

Plus I'll disagree with Bolland. No, I don't see him being a top liner scoring big time points, but I do see a solid 2 way guy that plays well in both end's of the ice. If things go well for him, I could see something similar to Mike York from Edmonton from him.

Marek Schwarz, Roman Voloshenko, Wes O’Neill?

    I really don't have a clue. I'm just guessing.

100% eh? I'll put money on that. If you're so sure, I guess you have no problem making the odd's 100 to 1? And I totally disagree with you here. I'm not ever going to say I'm 100% sure he'll become a solid NHL'er, but I'm pretty darn sure he will.

Also, I guess my guess for bust is O'Neill. Don't like what I've seen, and I would be very surprised if he ever became a top pairing Dman in the NHL.

  8. I know everyone is going to kill be but Rostislav Olesz if he is drafted out West. He's already got his bell rung by Phaneuf and playing in the physical west could cut his career short if he got his bell rung a couple more times. He could end up like Lindros, great player but his career is going to be cut short with the concussions. As they said concussions can snowball on ya.

Another guy is Dubnyk. Not sold on him or Picard. Picard is weird. I know he's been labeled a sniper and I don't really know. Points aren't there...and I'm not sold on the Q for some guys. He PROBABLY will prove me wrong though. Another one is Wheeler. If he doesn't play for his size, he isn't going to be great. Funk needs to stay consistant and Valabik too.

While I don't think Ladd will ever develop into a prolific scorer in the NHL I don't know that he will be a total bust. I think he will play eventually but just won't be the type of impact player many people on here are projecting him to be.

Personnally, I think you should look for the size and the lack of skating for the players in the top 100 and you have a BUST.

Look for Valabik....in the 1st rnd player bust...and maybe Zajac :shakehead

I saw Picard play TSK.....this guy isn't a bust....not a superstar but a good hockey player in the future :handclap:

    Bolland

Dont no were Prucha 73 is getting his information from, sounds like the Enquirer.

I probably saw 80% of Londons game last year and for the record Bolland & Shremp probably palyed on the same line 9 or ten times and rarley for the whole game, so how you can figure that Bolland got most of his goals while playing with Shremp is totally wrong.

Bolland played most of the season on the 3rd line, which for your inforamation is the checking line and also had limited ice time on the powerplay so 37 goals was what i would say amazing, he could have easily scored 50 if played regular powerplay and played 2nd line.

Your statement about failure could not be further from the truth, he is probably the most all rounded player in the 86 group from the OHL, he is a strong two way player, plays physical and has excellent puck control and sees the ice well, when he fills out, look out.

I think that Lisin, O'Neill, Bickell, Chucko and Zajac could be potential busts.

agree with you about Olesz, TSK.....dude just isn't gritty enough.....and honestly, I can't believe nobody has commented on Ovechkin yet....not really a bust I suppose, but I believe he'll prove to be much less than everyone expects,,,,sorry...just my opinion....

Pretty good bust potential there ...Wolski maybe not so much. I would also add Zajac to that list with Chipchura even

    bustsss

Iam gonna have to go with Kyle Chipchurra.

Why was everyone so high on this kid.
Ive watched him play a few times and he didn't stand out at all to me. Maybe iam wrong? maybe some insight on the kid before I proclaim him a bust.

Also I think Drew Stafford will be a huge bust. I don't think he's as good as he;s rated.

One thing I hate is when American players go the college route and they get higher ratings than OHL players who would dominate in the NCAA. I know most of it has to do with size and potential but I can't see a guy like Drew Stafford beign rated this high if he were playing in the OHL. Just my opinion I think the NCAA is an awesome league but some of their guys get too much credit.

Very few players that cant skate succeed in the NHL.

Busts? Aside from Ovechkin... hmmm... just about everyone is pretty damn uncertain.

I would say Chipchura is one of the safer picks in this draft. He is a solid all around player, a good leader, and is not afriad to drop the gloves. His skating is slightly above average and he is a very good playmaker. He needs a lot of work on his shot and in particular his release on his shot, but if he works on that he will turn into a very good 1st or 2nd line center. If he doesn't turn into a big time scorer he will definately succeed as a big checking center.

Just looked to some CHL Skill competition results, and you're out of the track...
    Top 5 180' dash
    Chad Painchaud, Mississauga IceDogs, 5.820
    Adam Berti, Oshawa Generals, 5.896
    Bryan Bickell, Ottawa 67's, 5.904
    Andy Rogers, Calgary Hitmen, 5.910
    Alexandre Picard, Lewiston MAINE-iacs, 5.944

Although I agree with you, Picard isn't a sure pick. He really needs to work on his defensive play if he ever want to have a chance in the NHL.
