IN:

Iginla - Canada
Regehr - Canada
Nilson - Sweden

LOCKS:

Kiprusoff - Finland
Lydman - Finland

MAYBE:

Conroy - USA
Leopold - USA (I would guess that both of these guys, mainly because of CGY's playoff run, will make it. I know Conroy has been shunned in the past, but his two-way play and speed on NA ice could really help the Americans.)
Turek - CZE
Nieminen - FIN

Not bad for a team with no talent. ;)

This is just my opinion, but I think both Conroy and Leopold will be on the U.S. team. Conroy would be great as the 4th line center (with guys like Rolston and York) and on the PK, and Leopold would be great on the PP and as the 7th guy.

As mentioned, it is an invitational, so Aebischer and Skrastins will not be there. The teams competing are Canada, the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden and USA. http://www.wch2004.com/

For Washington... er... :)

Well, Kolzig has been named for Germany
Halpern might make Team USA.

That about covers it. They may own the rights to Ovechkin by September, and he might make Team Russia, I suppose.

Modin - Sweden
Richards, Marty - Canada
Bulin - Russia (very unsecure at the moment)
Kubina - Czech
Grahame - US (fighting for the third spot)

Vinny might join the Canadian team if some injuries will appear, he should be second reserve among the forwards after Primeau.

It's pretty sad how many hawks will NOT be there:

Locks:
Bryan Berard- USA
Tuomo Ruutu- Finland

Outside Chance:
Tyler Arnason- USA (If they decide to go with youth)

I'm not sure that Berard is a lock. He's certainly among the candidates

Berard is not a lock. As a matter-of-fact, I'd be surprised if he's named to the team. Better options are available. As for Arnason, another no go. By the way, any reason those two didn't suit up for the U.S. at the World Championships? Were they even asked?

Strbak made the Slovakian team. Pirjeta might make his way onto Finland.

I knew there was a chance for Pirjeta after his recent play. Didn't know about Strbak though. Nice to know.

I would say there's a greater chance of Ukraine having a team than Kazakhstan, meaning Ponikarovsky could play. I know he has in the past at least.

Mogilny doesn't play for Russia in any international tournaments whatsoever if I recall.

EDIT: Just checked and apparently Ukraine does not have a team this year. I must have been thinking of the World Championships or the Olympics.

Looks like the Flyers heavily-American and European roster means they'll end up having much more representatives in the World Cup than any other team.

The lack of Canadian players on our roster right now is pretty staggering....it's basically just Recchi and Primeau....and Primeau may slip into the Canadian roster anyway.
