Please note that MacKinnon is scored around 400 while Couturier is around 300. It would have taken @BeLeafing to monumentally f*** up to not have a distinct first line advantage. Compounding this discrepancy is my decision to zig where he zagged in the third and fourth rounds. Scores are weighted according to typical ice times for respective lines and pairings as per the lazy Google search displaying this website.

In sum, I win this on the basis of my second pairing and goaltending. Overall my team is phenomenal at shutting down other teams, and Makar's place on the top pairing will work wonders to nullify MacKinnon's speed advantage that he typically holds.

There’s a reason there’s no team names posted.
Technically, I haven't provided any information that link a named team to their anonymous counterpart. But I can remind you people about making the right decision.

I guess that’s accurate but your rankings don’t give the right decision.

At least they inform decisions extremely well. If you're finding a way to argue against things like xGoals or DFFRC%, then you have to check yourself.

The tough part about this vote is usually on multiple choice if you're guessing, you want to pick C.

> xGoals are a better predictor than goals for future game outcomes
> team 4a has top tier metrics across the board with overwhelming xGoals +/- advantage
> people vote for other team because "MacKinnon"
> dies on inside
> watching Upload
> premise is stupid since human consciousness isn't comparable to a computer in any way
> scientists used to compare human brain to steam engines

The one you just posted = mostly understandable

that one = I need a phd
r^2 is the strength of correlation, so the higher a number the better in this case

the chart is telling us that xGoals is better at predicting game outcomes than Corsi% or GoalsFor%

so if there were a seven game series between chicago and winnipeg, xGoals is gonna be waaaaaaaay better at predicting the outcome than simply looking at the incoming teams' Goals For, Goals Against

Ohhh okay thanks man, I think I sorta get it but not that specific chart. Regardless Hellebuyck is why I flipped to Chicago
