Which draftee will be the first to play for VGK?

Which 2017 draftees will make their NHL debut this season?

I'm thinking Hague wins a spot in camp, but Glass will be called up in-season with the first injury. How weird would it be if Ben Jones won a spot and opened the season on the roster? He's developing faster than expected, so anything is possible...

Hague aint gon make the team until Holden / Merrill are moved, and even then...theres too many damn lefties on the blue line. Hague has played the right in junior (dont know about the AHL) but thats a MAJOR task for a rookie, still raw, to break into the league on the side he’s not as comfortable on.

Any other answer than Glass is wrong here imo. He may just make the team due to his ELC and the cap crunch.

I think giving Hague more AHL to improve his skating would be good also. Glass is probably the one who makes it but hopefully he gets some AHL games to help him also.

Seems possible one rookie beats Hague out, but two or three seem more unlikely. So have to think he's got the better opportunity. I like Glass and sure hope he starts on the team, but unless Eakin gets moved there really doesn't seem to be a spot for him. His higher contract than the other rookies also makes him a little tougher fit for that opening day roster.

Glass finished 4th in AHL Playoff scoring and tied for the team lead. He has nothing left to prove at the AHL level. If he doesn't make the team this year, something is wrong.
