Guerin said the other day that he won’t rush to fire Boudreau, essentially because if there is a turn around, he wants Boudreau there because he’s a good coach. If he decides to do a bit of a rebuild, there’s no reason to fire Boudreau. His contract runs out at the end of the season and then he has an advisor role with the team.

Anyway, I’ll say Hynes.

I don't think Dallas would be that rapid to fire Montgomery considering his team's performance last season.

Devils bought in a shit ton of outside additions last offseason, and haven't been good for years upon years, excluding one year where they made it in as a WC2. Can't imagine their ownership is going to be that patient in seeing results.

Dallas has a much better D core and better goalies, so their struggles ought to be more galling than New Jersey's. But Dallas just made the second round of the playoffs last Spring, Montgomery has more rope to start with. I think Shero really wants to keep Hynes but if they don't turn it around he might have to can him.
