Bernard-Docker is criminally underrated due to lack of exposure to the fanbase

I think it's just different people with different criteria for voting. On upside alone he's gotta be top-4 or 5, but he's also like 4 years away (probably) from having any kinda of impact.

Will be completely changed once the season, and likely WJ, is over

Reminds me of how Chabot was behind Paul and Puempel, and barely in front of Prince right after he was drafted.

I doubt he's 4 years away. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a full time NHL player in 3 years.

He is almost 20. I think by next year he should be ready to play in the NHL, maybe not all 82 games but at least a fair amount

You don't debut a rookie at age 24 anymore. 21-22 is the ideal age in todays NHL

Who? JBD? He turned 18 like 4 months ago.

Unless he has a year like Chabot did in 2015-16, and even then, he will almost certainly be back at UND for his sophomore season at the minimum.

Ya he came out of left field for me and then it was curious how much more press Tychonick seemed to get. Jumping to top pairing is very impressive though and I know a lot more about him now.

You think he will make Junior team this year?

No I am talking about Balcers. I meant he is turning 22. He should crack the team next year, maybe given a few games this year too, to see how he is progressing. He already had a full year under his belt in the AHL

Last 20GP 4G 10Pts 35sog
If he can do that for a full year in the NHL
20-25G 40-45Pts 140sog

Then develops just a bit more and at 23/24
25-30G 45-55Pts 160-180sog

That’s a nice middle six weapon

Yeah I like him a lot. Him and Norris are gonna end up top 9ers for us for a long time imo.

Balcers is the ideal 3rd line winger who has skill, speed and finish. But, he won't rack up much points playing with 3rd liners.

I still think he has a strong potential to be a 2nd line winger, when he hits his peak. Dzingle 2.0

Not top 10 .. in that next 11-15 window

Considering when the pool was made (October 11th), would he really be that low?

1- Brady Tkachuk
2- Logan Brown
3- Colin White
4- Drake Batherson
5- Alex Formenton
6- Filip Gustavsson
7- Filip Chlapik
8- Jacob Bernard-Docker
9- Christian Wolanin
10- Christian Jaros

11- Jonny Tychonick
12- Maxime Lajoie
13- Ben Harpur
14- Gabriel Gagné

15- Marcus Hogberg
16- Aaron Luchuk
17- Johnny Gruden
18- Angus Crookshank

19- Markus Nurmi
20- Nick Paul
21- Andreas Englund

22- Joel Daccord
...

Or you mean that with Abramov, Brannstrom and Davidsson, he'd be there? Consider that Tkachuk, and White have graduated since (Harpur too)

I thought Chabot was part of the rankings too.. according to the rules.. could be wrong there.
I would have him outside the top 10 .. looking back to that time and definitely would now.

Well Chabot was still in the summer rankings to have a better view of the bank, but October 11th was the beginning of the season. It was clear he was graduating right away. White would also this year and possibly Tkachuk even if just drafted. It's like Harpur too, he was going to graduate. But surprisingly (well, to some at least), Nick Paul didn't.

So back then you had him outside of the top-10 but now if you add Abramov, Brannstrom and Davidsson but remove Chabot, Tkachuk and White (and Harpur lol)???

11-15. I'd have Lajoie ahead of him as well
