They are more polished than they get credit for. They are clearly working on some new backcheck and breakout plays. It takes time to get that in sync. I'll say again: they easily could have won that game against Pittsburgh. Babcock saying his team isn't polished is just code for they need to keep working.

Yeah, no coach firing. They preach about the process and they will see this years end result as a part of it. We have a very good thing right now and I can't see a whole lot derailing it.

Bab's comments on the penguins being a 'more polished' team includes a few cup runs, back-to-back champs, multiple playoff series, Crosby & Malkin for 14 years and their experience. We will experience similar highs and lows throughout the years. Lets hope management maintains its competency.

They need to turn all that promise and on-paper roster talent into a result int the post-season with a deep playoff run. I think they will pull that off this season.

Last night we didn't lose to a more experienced or more polished team. We lost to the refs.

And Andersen let in a real stinker too, that didn't help.

Polished....reaching the Conference Finals. If they have five years with this group they will be experienced by unless some Conference Final appearances, they will never be polished.

When the team has a captain and has either reached the conference final/final.

As long as Kadri doesn't pull another sabotage the Leafs should be all right.

Our Leafs will be considered polished/experienced when they consistently win the regular season games they should, and, they go deep into the playoffs. Until then, they're just wannabes!

We played Washington in the playoffs but lost to a more experienced team.

We played Boston in the playoffs but lost to a more experienced team.

Last night Leafs got beat by a more polished Pittsburgh team.

Can we take the next step already...when does it happen?
when the core has 5 seasons under their belts.

this is still a very young team

this is only the start of season 3 for many of our key players

Theyll probably seen as experience after they win a playoff round.

Amazing stat is Toronto has never won more than two playoff rounds in the same season.
