48 is stuck with Krug. During the season, they will rotate. Comes the PO you just can not have 47 and 48 at the same time... unless injuries.

Not a shot at 48, cause he is a heck of a player, but simply a question of size. Moore will be on the roster comes the PO.

This is easy.

Kevan Miller sits. I don't see how they can justify sitting Moore or Gryz the way both have played this year.

It's not a knock on Miller, but he got injured (twice) and these guys have taken his spot. That's how it works in pro sports, happens all the time.

Better question: Who gets traded?

I`d say DS won`t move anyone immediately, if the last few seasons have taught us one thing, having all those D available has proven invaluable

Eventually, I think we`ll see Kampfer and Grizz moved

Not sure why Kampfer will be moved his role is to be the 7th/8th guy if everyone is healthy and he has no cap hit and has played a lot. Take out the Detroit game and hes had a good year. Krug is under contract for another year once that changes I think Griz gets some security.

Any trade involving Griz is a 'big' deal and the type of move we don't really make. A late 1st + some other assets for Nash is the biggest kind of trade this organization makes. Its more likely Krug walks as a UFA than anything IMO. Have to think we keep 8 D men before any of the group listed plus Kampfer gets exposed to waivers.

While Kampfer won`t be the key guy in a deal, I think he`s shown enough to other teams that if they were in need of a 5-6 D man on a thinner roster, he would be a decent acquisition and Grizz? I love the guy, but I`m not killing a deal for the right piece because he was a guy another team has demanded to consummate it.

I don`t think DS moves Miller or Butch sits him, big body, plays physical in front of the net, Grizz sits IMO when Miller returns

"Immediate" is not a problem I see. We have Lauzon for LD and Clifton for RD callups. Both impressed me in their brief stints. UV could also be a solution but his time up was to brief to tell.

Id keep Grizz in the line up. Can't see how he can sit. Transition, Transition Transition he brings it as good as anyone on the Bruins. He also plays his off side better than anyone else on the Bruins, which gives them great flexibility during a game.

If he has one flaw it maybe taking a risk when he shouldn't but that can be fixed. Seven talented D is a good problem to have and like many here have said a rotation would work best and they'll need 7 healthy d for the playoffs, but if I had to pick a top six it would look like this. You add Miller in and out and that is as good as a top 7 as there is. You have the kids for depth in Lauzon and Vaak.

Kampfer's been fine and, I can see Sweeney dealing him for a 4th, 5th rnd pick, which would be ultimately getting two middle round picks for McQuaid, but boy I sure miss the Quaider.

Chara McAvoy
Krug Carlo
Moore Grizz

I like Miller and miss not having him in the line-up and like many here have said. You could dress 7 defenseman , that would work, do some double shifting or even try Miller at right wing on Occasion.:dunno:

People like to go after Krug and Grzelcyk for their performance in the playoffs last year, but having Miller in the top 4 did the team no favors.

Not having Carlo was a pretty big deal. Also factor in that Charlie was not exactly healthy last season and was not where he needed to be by playoff time. You make a good point. A fully healthy D might not have been enough to beat TB, but then again who knows.

With Carlo and the addition of Moore.... we will see.
I think a healthy Bruins defense can beat anyone right now, probably one of the best skating/transition D in the league. I think Miller goes against that and the added toughness he would provide wouldn’t outweigh the skating of a Grzelcyk or Moore. I would also play Chara less 5 on 5 and have him be a staple on the PK.

Grzelcyk-Mcavoy
Krug-Carlo
Chara-Moore

I like the top 4 as it is right now, and Chara needs a partner that can skate well. To me, that makes Miller the odd man out.

Carlo yes, but too me although he has size Moore just doesn't play a big heavy game and he surely isn't a big time hitter. He rely's more on his great skating and if I had to pick between him and Grizz, I'd pick Grizz and your not sitting Krug but like you said we'll see, but either way its a nice problem too have.
