Does this work? I think most of us would like to be able to negotiate cheaper prices, but any hockey store ive been in usually marks up there stuff a bit compared to online, not to mention the websites consistent 20% off type deals.

ill try to buy all my protective gear and probably skates from a LHS, but sticks/tape/blades ill get online most of the time due to selection and price.

At my LHS the owner usually takes off at least the tax because I've bought most of my gear there for 10 years

Has anyone tried the new mission sticks? I still have two from before they disappeared for a bit, I really like those sticks but they are wore out! Although my current stick is fine I'm interested in trying out something new. None of the online stores have reviews for these sticks yet.

The APX2 glove palms are EXTREMELY slippery in my opinion, and the only stick I can use with them is the QR1 grip. I normally would have sanded the grip off because I typically have hated it in the past, but find I need the grip when using these gloves. If I want to use any other stick, I have to change to the X 7.0 gloves.

I picked up Nexus 6000 shoulders, 8000 shins and Havok pants not too long back, but the 4000 shoulders I think are great, nice and light and fit perfect, while the 600 shins and pants are still holding up well, so I haven't used any of them yet.

Reebok 20k's are great. I jumped up from Reebok SC10's to the 20k's and took me about an hour before I got used to the much firmer "pro" style but haven't looked back since. Really solid skate.

Took me a bit to get used to them last night. First couple laps in warmup felt like I had never skated before….. The boot is much firmer than the Bauer Supreme ONE60’s I have been skating in for the past 3 years.

Yeah I had the same experience.

I first tried them at a stick and puck and my friend kept telling me to get low by bumping into me.

So I'm trying on these brand new skates and, like you said, it's like learning to skate all over again because they're so firm. He doesn't notice my new skates and sees me out there, knees not bent, says "what's going on wobbles!?" and gives me a nudge. I almost completely bail haha.
