I have been looking at tickets for various teams available throughout the playoffs and I noticed in past rounds there were several hundred blue dots (mostly in pairs or higher) available for some of the Washington Capitals games at the Capital One Center. I figured it was due to fatigue from being let down by the team season after season.
However, in round three I have seen several blue dots available for at least two (possibly all three games). For game 6 at home

there are close to five hundred seats (blue dots) still available just in pairs or greater....that doesn't include the singles. Most of these seats are in the prime seating areas of the lower bowl including an entire row by the penalty box!
Capitals are in somewhat uncharted territory - first time in the third round in 20 years. They have a exciting superstar in Alex Ovechkin who while slightly past his prime is still one of the best in the game. So what gives? Are the prices too high...even in a market of 5 million plus with many wealthy individuals?
