Other jets posters had already discussed this earlier in the thread. It’s not 20-40 matches per day

He has averaged 18.4 matches per day since he began (over) playing Fortnite. Well over 4,000 matches played already, in a few months

Has averaged between 3.5 and 6 hours per day on his PlayStation

Might want to check on that average match length... 19.5 minutes per match means he wins every single one of them

From Laine's stats (8.4 minutes a match):
Latest Gaming Session - Lasting 42m 14s
Matches 5 K/D1.60 Wins0Kills8Top 3/5/10 0 Top 6/12/25 3Score 910

2.5h a day since the start, including summers and weekends.

318 matches on season 6. (September 27, 2018 - December 6, 2018). 56 days until today. 5.6 matches per day

8.4minutes a match makes it 50 minutes per day.

50 minutes per day is still more time on games than the current recommendations by most health organizations. If he started drinking it would help reduce his fortnite gaming. I think the jets should be looking into that option. Or paid escorts.

And as you know, he mentioned during one of his live streams that he has 2 accounts and that he uses both of them a lot.

how did mathews do vs the blues today ?

He still leads the league in goals and points!!!! In case you don't know how to use proper grammar, you spell all names with a capitol letter first and last. How did patrick laine do his last game?

CAN
only 1 goal in his last 10 games to end the regular season
5 goals in 17 playoff games
1 goal so far in 4 games this year.

7 goals in 31 games is pretty shocking for a kid that had 44 last year. only 16points total as well

is he banged up or just on an extended cold streak

hopefully he turns it around because Matthews vs Laine was the next Sid vs OV
Matthews has blown it wide open with 9 goals already this year

It was never the next Sid vs Ovi.

Someone has watched too much Rogers Sportsnet.

No wonder you’ve said some of the things you have.

Sid and Ovi broke into the league and consistently tore it apart as the two best players, Ovechkin on a line with Chris Clark and Jeff Halpern managed over 50 and 50 in his first year on a a caps team where those linemates? Were both the next best offensive threats on that team.

Laine scores goals on the most talented top 6 in the league and was put into one of the most desirable positions of any young player. Doesent have to anchor his teams offense. Hell he doesent have to score either (because he obviously isnt going to get assists even with all that talent in those PP,s) and his team can STILL win by five. He’s terrific and will compete and likely win rockets for years though and that can’t be discounted. It just doesent mean he’s the next Ovechkin.

Matthews is quite easily the most praised, overhyped generational player the sport
Has ever seen. He’s fantastic and elite but he is hands down the best, it’s only these two. Especially because they play for Canadian teams! That’s not going to get their marketing levels to skyrocket. Good god I can only imagine if Sid and Ovi were on Canadian teams. There would be statues of both guys in every hallway of their arenas.

How on earth can these two be the next Sid versus Ovi when we haven’t seen anything of the like from either of them and there’s a Connor McDavid in the league? Including many others.

Don’t answer that. You don’t have too, because it was never in question to begin with.

It would create some kind of joy if Laine scores a hat trick against Toronto while Matthews is scoreless. Just that level of hurt it would stir amuses me. But then of course the Laine-fan boys would raise from their current hideouts and become just as obnoxious and I'd switch sympathies again.

So how did McD do last night?

What´s up with Laine? Besides him scoring again tonight is that this player who already has put up 70 points over a season and does not become a ghost as soon as opponents play physical on him is getting his wheels going.

Also he plays for a team that in fact has had success over the last half century which is promising unlike... some other players...

Hmm and which team might that be?

Wikpedeia is your best friend. Todays Jets have no connection to the original jets

Playing games is much more healthy than watching TV, you know. How many people watch TV less than 50min a day?

Agreed. At least you're still using your senses, training reflex reaction, hand-eye coordination, problem solving, etc.

Watching Laine's game, it looks like he has actually regressed during the post-season. There are no improvements to his speed / agility at all to be found, and his shot is not the same anymore. Not a good times to be Jets fan.

Is this thread just 13 pages of leafs fans debating on if Lanie is playing too much Fortnite? LOL

It's absolutely hilarious. Laine is living rent free in some heads apparently.

Laine has for sure improved, but still playing in ELL with no end in sight though, and they have shown consistently that it's completely incorrect to play them together.

We will see who has the last laugh though, forwards improve rapidly until they are 23-24yo so it's not like there is even anything to worry about even if Laine would have not improved (which is not true obviously for anyone that watches him).

With era-adjustments, Laine had the best teenage g/60 in the history of the league. People sure have weird opinions here. But again, we will see how this plays out :).

Yeah, at our current pace we'd finish with two points less than last season. Tough times indeed.
