Only 3 assists on the year in 7 games.

Hasn't scored a goal in 24 games dating back to last years playoffs and regular season games.

    Please stay on topic.

I'm actually curious, as I have him in a keeper league.

    Why doesn't Maurice like him?

It is a bit troubling, but last night was probably his best game this year.

He needs to shoot more instead of skating around looking to pass to Laine all the time.

Moving Laine up with Scheifele, and Wheeler down with Little and Ehlers needs to be tried for a few games at least IMO.

Ehlers is too good to remain in this slump.

You asked this just as he had his best game of the year last night. Ehlers should have scored last night on a sneaky fake wrap around where the goalie was a bit out of position.

Early in the season he wasn’t getting enough ice time or playing with urgency. Maurice moved him to a line with Perreault and Vesalaine which should have been pretty god especially against the weaker matchups that they got. But Maurice gave them so little ice time that it wasn’t god for him. He went back to the line with Little and Laine that everyone hates.

In the last 3 games they’ve played much better especially game 1 & 3 of that stretch.
He should have more points then he does. They will come. Ehlers has always been a streaky scorer. Just make sure he’s in when that happens.

Until he proves otherwise though he still is susceptible to long stretches where he’s not as great as he could be. It also doesn’t help that he’s not on PP1. But he did have a primary assist on a PP goal last night.

Obviously unhappy that he's hearing a lesser player is holding out and will probably be making more than he is for being a lesser player

The Ehlers Little Laine line doesn’t work but PM insists on playing them together. It didn’t work 2 years ago when all 3 players went into deep slumps as soon as the line was put together and stays in that slump for 40ish games. It didn’t work last year when none of them did anything 5v5 until Stastny was brought in and replaced Little on the line after which all 3 played well. Surprise surprise, PM goes back to it again and again all three players start to struggle.

It's already been said but Laine-Little-Ehlers just does NOT work. All 3 are very good at what they do.....that line is just not right. It's just chemistry at this point.

Laine - Stastny - Ehlers was fantastic.

I still have hope that Roslovic steps up and moves into that 2nd line role. Having Little in our bottom six is actually really really good.
