Probably something stupid like it was what he wore his first win at a certain level of his career. Hockey players are inherently superstitious, but goalies are to the extreme.

Pretty sure that’s just his chest protector, he was with Jersey his whole career so it probably has red arms on it. Brouduer, Belfour, abd Irbe were notorious for holding onto their old gear and repairing it

I’m sorry but that’s just kind of low to call it something stupid. There may be a personal meaning behind it. Or even if it’s what you claim it to be, that’s not your place to say such things. That’s how I feel.

When Timo was traded to NJ last season he immediately became friends with Blackwood. Timo introduced him to fancy brands like Gucci and now Blackwood probably wears a red Gucci t-shirt underneath, expensive you know.

Blackwood also met Evander Kane, who is Timo's best friend. The rest is history.
