You always read about players 'adding size/strength' or 'filling out their frames', but to what extent does this happen? And do some players add height after being drafted?
Brandon Dubinsky was drafted at like 5'11 175 or so and is now 6'1 or 6'2 and 225 or so.
according to NHL.com ilya kovalchuk is shrinking. he was 6"2' when he got drafted and now he is 6"1'. lol.
Kovalev was 6' - 185 lbs, now he is 6'2 - 225 lbs
Jagr was 6'1 - 190 lbs, now he is 6'3 - 235 lbs
Datsyuk was 5'9 - 160 lbs, now he is 5'11 - 200 lbs
Lecavalier was 6'4 - 175 lbs, now he is 6'4 - 225 lbs
And many others...
i think its safe to say players will on average get 1-2 inches and 20-30 lbs when drafted at 17 or 18.
IF that is accurate that has to be the winner...50 GOOD pounds. There are some that have put on 50 bad pounds of course.
