Tribute What would your all time Coyotes team look like? (UPD: It would look sucky)

Dump Keller and Janney. Janney was worthless without Tkachuk. Incredible playmaker, did nothing else. I'd rather have Briere or Gartner than Keller. Let Zeus bump Ronning to the fourth line. Carney over Jovo.

In no real order:
KT-JR-Tocchet
Wiz-Hanzal- Vrbata
Nagy-Zeus-Doan
Briere/Gartner-Ronning-Drake/King

Teppo-Hammer
OEL-Morris
Chych/Yandle- Carney

Burke

They are on the Winnipeg historic team lol. The group you see is what it would be and Khabibulin would be busy!
Well, ducky has been following them that long. Even took Hawerchuk's nick for his account.

Just for proven line chemistry (on the forwards) and because it includes some of my favorites:

Tkachuk - Roenick - Doan
Nagy - Langkow - Johnson
Whitney - Hanzal - Vrbata
May - Kolanos - Wilson

OEL - Teppo
Yandle - Michalek
Ballard - Morris

G - take your pick
Bench: Handzus Markov

This is a fantastic answer. I would replace Kolanos with Sullivan, though. And Wilson with Tocchet.

I don't like Johnson or Langkow enough to get on my the list. Not sure Wilson would make my list bc he wasn't food enough and didn't stay long. But Kolanos and May are great. I can't believe I forgot Bally, Z and Markov on the blueline. Good work!

:dunno:

Could go a lot of different ways. None of them are good. Haha. Gartner was great but old. Briere ended up great but wasn't so great here. Some guys it's hard to remember because they were here and gone so long ago, like Ronning and Janney.

Yonkman - Dahlbeck

Sorry for my recency bias.
I think that team would win at least 1-2 games against our current team in a seven game playoff series. As long as you gave them real goalies instead, and gave them Dave Tippett as HC. I think they'd suffocate this Tocchet team, and absolutely bully our p***yfied roster.

I forgot about old boy Jeff Halperin. If there is one thing this team has done well in the last 15 years, it's bring in quality 4th line centers.

It looks sucky, but the 2012 team went to the WCF. Take the best of that team, add in the best of the rest (Tkachuk, Roenick, Numminen, etc.) and you have a potential Cup champion.

I really don't think that team was that bad. I loved our blue line and we had strong enough goaltending. Our forward group over achieved but it really wasn't bad.

Hanzal, Vermette, Langkow, Gordon and Turris were all quality centers with Langkow coming to the end of his career. Vermette only got 22 games that year unfortunately and Turris was well.. Shithead Turris so Chipchura and Brule got a lot more games than they probably should have. We had decent wingers too. Boedker was still looking like a 2nd liner, Whitney and Vrbata were having fantastic years, Doan was doing Doan things which was good, we had mean guys in Torres and Pyatt, and Korpikoski was playing like a dominate 3rd like PK specialist. We also had Tipchura. Whitney, Hanzal and Vrbata was the obvious star line that year but Boedker, Vermette and Doan were also dominate. We really were able to roll 4 lines without concern that we couldn't defend against other teams top lines and had 2 lines that could score at a reasonable clip. I can't say we have any of that today which stands to reason that our team now is not better than 9 years ago.

I'd take that roster again today if I could. They played with a lot more grit and tenacity. Very reminiscent of Anaheim's imagine over the last 2 decades which I liked. If that team had a decent pipeline we probably wouldn't have had 8 years in the hole.

Haha I mean I would obviously use time travel to kidnap them and force them into contracts.
Hanzel exits the zone in period one and enters other zone in period 2!!! Just busting your balls in a nothing happening time. I really enjoyed how that team played all out for the team.

You're good, I know you were having fun. I saw the emoji.

I did too, it may have been a boring scheme but the overall team was a ton of fun to watch.
