OT: What would happen if we re-sign Murray to a NTC?

A few weeks ago there were many discussions on here about how an expansion draft would go, in terms of who we can and should protect.

I was wondering today, would it be worth it for the Penguins to re-sign Murray to a contract with a No Trade Clause, so the NHL would be forced to address its goalie protection rules for the expansion draft? What would happen if both Fleury and Murray had NTCs/NMCs?

You have to be a certain age to sign a NMC or NTC.

Also why did you use a hashtag? They don't work on here.

You can't. Only UFA-aged players can sign NTCs or NMCs...and even if that was possible the expansion scenario that is in question would take place while Murray would be in the final weeks/days of his ELC regardless.

Nothing more to discuss here.
