We've got three very promising prospects that are vying to make the jump to the big team full-time in Rasmus Andersson, Juuso Valimaki, and Oliver Kylington.

With one spot there for the taking in our D-corps, training camp is set to be incredibly competitive. Andersson arguably has the inside track on the final spot as the most NHL ready prospect but the divisive Kylington and driven Valimaki made lots of noise at training camp last season and are LHD that will complement the right-handed Stone should Peters be bothered by such a thing.

Anyway, when all is said and done, who do you think will occupy that final spot when the Flames are playing in January and Peters has gotten to know the team better?

Stone on the left side and Andersson on the right.
Kulak will be the 7th d-man

Why is monkey ass trash donkey Stone in so many options. Go away Stone, you're terrible.

Voted other (Vali/Ollie-Andersson).

Probably because he is by far our 5th best defenseman and if we do want a young guy in the line-up next year the only guy outside the top 4 that can reliably play with one of those guys who will need a ton of help from their partner.

Because everyone else knows that he's easily our #5 defenseman, no matter how much you pretend he's terrible.

"Pretend he's terrible"

He has literally nothing in his game that is NHL level. He is trash and adds nothing to the them team except taking a spot from a much more deserving rookie.

Keep saying it, maybe one day it will be true.

When someone claims he has "nothing in his game that is NHL level", I don't even know why we are wasting our time replying. That is such a ridiculous and hyperbolic statement. Stone might not be an elite defenseman, but he has his good and not so good, but even the worst parts of his game are NHL level.

When did I refer to him as a person as trash? Do I really need to spell out "he is trash at hockey" or can you not understand through context?

I think that the D pairings all rely on how Brodie does and how the Hanifin/Hamonic pairing does. If Brodie does not do well and Hanifin/Hamonic are steller I can see Gio playing alongside Andersson with a Kulak or Valimaki bottom pairing with Brodie on the right side. If Brodie and the Hanifin/Hamonic pairings struggle the Flames are in deep crap anyways so who knows.

Andersson-Stone would be a bad pairing, calling that now.

I expect Kulak-Hamonic to be our third pairing, albeit maybe taking "tougher" minutes than a higher-scoring Hanifin-Andersson second pairing.

Now if Hanifin-Hamonic works out, then it'll either be Kylington-Stone or Kulak-Andersson. Can't see any other third pair combo that makes any sense. They won't want two rookies (Kylington-Andersson), Valimaki probably needs some polishing, and Kulak-Stone would mean Andersson was very disappointing.
