27. I am very, very curious to see what the Blue Jackets do with Sergei Bobrovsky. Free agent in 2019, already at $7.425 million. Last negotiation wasn’t easy. No playoff success, but do not underestimate how hard it is to get there, and he gets them there every year. Challenging decision for them

Thoughts?

Feel like there could be a deal to be made with Carolina and Columbus here. Both have what each other badly wants

Trade him back to Philly for their 2018 1st +

Perfect bridge to Carter Hart.

Maybe something along the lines of Bobrovsky + Dubinsky (25% retention) to Carolina for Skinner + Darling

Carolina sheds Darling and finally gets a #1 goalie while also getting a gritty forward to make them harder to play against at a discount and at a $4.38MM cap hit Dubinsky has value if he gets back to being a two strong way center that can chip in 40+ points.

Columbus gets back another top six scoring threat while getting out from Dubinsky's deal although taking back Darling and hoping he can find his game in the regular season again

I dunno, the Darling inclusion might be the deal breaker there, just trying to find one that makes sense

Should keep him. As the article states, he gets the Jackets to the playoffs. I don't think he was the issue this year, but he still hasn't shown he can steal a game in the playoffs which is basically necessary to win a Cup.

One of these years he won't go up against teams with over-the-top firepower.
