Until Pettersson re-signs, Vancouver is out.

I'd go with Dallas, because I like Robertson, Hintz, Heiskanen and Oettinger better than LA's similar aged top players.

Basically this was my first thought mong all Western teams.

Not sure between LA and the Canucks as someone noted Vancouver can't lose EP40.

I voted Vancouver

I was impressed with how they did in the playoffs a few years ago. EP, Hughes, they all did quite well as underdogs. Hopefully for them it means that core has it in them to do really good in playoffs again.

I'm not too bothered by the EP contract - I expect he re-signs

Dallas is a very good choice here. Only saying this to be devil's advocate--They've had this core intact for a little while now, and it hasn't worked yet. Are we sure they have enough? I know Stankoven will help.

like already mentioned, EP will resign. Swedes love Vancouver. It would be impossible to find another team that can offer him what Vancouver can. Almost no contending team can afford a 11-12 mil cap hit. Add in the fact Vancouver is a nice city for rich people. And he has made friends here and knows the city (his favourite restaurants etc). It’s why most star players prefer to stay with one organization. By the time they hit ufa, they have set roots in like knowing the city made friends etc. having to uproot to another city requires more energy and learning new people and city.
