On his peak ? I can see him getting around 120 points by season... I mean he is very talented and let's not forget he will play with a powerhouse.

40-80 seems about right. Maybe Im pushing a bit.

I was thinking this the other day and I don't honestly know. I live in Erie, PA right now and I get every Pens game and he's very fun to watch, however I'm not 100% sure if he's on Crosby's line. He was towards the end of the year I think and it worked. So if he stays on Crosby's line, Crosby had 120 this year I believe (may be wrong) but he should only go up from there. So I guess if he's on Crosby's line he should be around 110-120 I guess.

I see him hovering at around a point per game next year but I would buy into a string of about 3 consecutive 100 point seasons after that.

With his talent I think he can get 50-80-130 in his prime, if he continues to develop and if his effort level doesn't drop off but I just have this feeling that he will never reach that level. My prediction is that he becomes a consistent 90-100PT scorer but he never realizes his full potential like most talented Russians.

I think he'll be around 40-70-110 in his best years. Probably at then end of his career he'll have averaged a bit over a point per game (like 1.13 points a game or so).

i agree, hes only going to have a 5 point increase once hit hits his prime good call.

you know this is career wise pr. season right??

do you think he is going to average more the 100 points pr. season in he's career??

he will probably hit 110-120 once or twice, but i dont think he will be a consistent art ross candidate.

there is no need to try and make me look bad, i just said my opinion. no one knows for sure what he's career numbers will be at this point.:)

117 points in 2012-13. The following summer Magnitogorsk offers him a 10-year deal worth 230 million, to which he agrees and proceeds to spend the remainder of his career with his hometown team.

And his NHL career will end up looking exactly like this:
2006-07: 78 games, 85 points. PO: 5 games, 4 points.
2007-08: 47 games, 59 points. PO: 7 games, 5 points.
2008-09: 69 games, 97 points. PO: 5 games, 5 points.
2009-10: 78 games, 90 points. PO: 18 games, 22 points.
2010-11: 81 games, 101 points. PO: 9 games, 3 points.
2011-12: 15 games, 31 points. PO: missed with injury.
2012-13: 75 games, 117 points. PO: 24 games, 24 points. < Pens win the Cup
7 seasons: 443 games, 580 points. PO: 68 games, 63 points.

Yeah, I know. I just like stats as a whole and predictions of this kind. And if they ever turn out to be accurate I can be the first to praise myself. :D

He'll probably put up about 75% of the production you'd expect out of him. He has the enigmatic Russian hockey player stigma to live down.

Its impossible to guess at a Carear average cause there is no way to know how hockey will change in the coming years, if scoring goes up or goes back down, if he stays healthy or not, etc etc.

I would be suprised to see him not get really close to 100 next year, Crosbys production went up 18% from Rookie to Softmore years..... Malkin would need that same kind of increase to get to get to the magic 100 next season and i think thats do-able on a Penguins team that should be improved.

yeah but doesnt he play same position as Crosby?

Meaning he likely will be playing the other teams second line defenders his entire career. Sounds like a recipe for nice numbers if he is the player we all think he is. He will top 100 pts. more often than not, though perhaps not every year. Average about 105-110 pts in my opinion.
