Well he picked a great time to have a career best year anyway, I'll give him that.He's a career PPG+ player. He may have had two down seasons during the pandemic, but he's probably worthy of being around that $10M+ range.
Same could be said of FF9.
I would actually still rather have FF9 than Gaudreau, tbh. But I wouldn't pay either of them $10M+ for sure. If somebody else would, congrats to the players I say! Gaudreau, I can see it. Probably Philly or NJ or some team that shouldn't but will. 115 pts and local boy sells. Forsberg hasn't been healthy and I think his numbers have been hurt playing here, but I think he actually brings similar elements. More size, some mad skillz, questionable consistency, but also a bona fide 1st line talent.
They are both good players... not elite... but.... there is only 1 of them we have a chance of signing IMHO.
