This will be closed very soon. Dallas is one of the top teams in the league with tons of young talent, while the Devils are spiralling down right now. Devils can be competitive next year and after, but there's a whole bunch of issues to be fixed before that.

As a devils fan, it's probably Dallas, the biggest difference being Oettinger.

The devils are a much better team than their record suggests though.

Eastern Conference Finals and Stanley Cup predictions were extremely popular picks after that (though people should have seen a drop back coming from a mile away).

Pavelski and Sutter are both 39

Duchene, Seguin, and Benn are heading into their mid 30's Sure they have good prospects but it takes time to let them adapt to the NHL.

Dallas Stars are more complete. Devils might be better toward the end of the window but it's difficult to forecast so far into the future...

Dallas has great young players and as the vets contracts run out lots of flexibility. Theres not a team in the nhl in a better spot than them. Sadly............... fing north stars

Lol c'mon man. Dallas has a wayyyy better team. Drafts better. Is built the right way. And players prefer zero income tax Dallas vs f'n shithole Newark. And the players that love NYC or have significant others that do.....just choose one of the teams actually in NYC.

Dallas is set up now and for the future, so much can change though. Jersey has a nice roster also and just needs to figure out there goaltending.
