What Playing Style Should The Leafs Employ?

If you're talking specific systems, then this is probably the wrong place to ask seeing how 95% of posters here don't know what the hell they're talking about and reduce all teams to either 'run and gun' or 'the trap'.

If you're talking a team culture, then I think we're already on the right track. Sure, we have guys like Kessel who may not fit it to a T, but even the big, bad Ducks of '07 had Selanne, MacDonald and Niedermayer as key contributors. I'm sure I'll get some self-proclaimed 'realists' laughing at me, but with a healthy line-up and the addition of a couple of stabilizing veterans, I don't see why this team couldn't go on a decent run in the playoffs, or perhaps even win it all at some point in the next few years if everything falls into place one particular Spring. Sometimes all it takes is being good enough to make the playoffs and getting hot at the right time.

What is it in particular about the Leaf's team culture that speaks to you?
